"Hey!"

There's something very familiar about this scene, Haruhi thinks as she approaches the men harassing the two female Host Club customers who are standing on a small cliff that overlooks the ocean, her fists clenched and her jaw set. Something seems wrong with her short hair (why does that feel weird?), too, but she can't focus on the strangeness for the sake of helping the poor girls. She can't stand by idly and do nothing.

"What's with these skinny arms, huh?"

One of the men turns, grabbing her by the front of the shirt and swinging her around to push her towards the edge of the cliff. The other man has grabbed onto the two girls and shouts from where he stands: "Don't go trying to act all tough when you're just a sissy boy!"

But it doesn't matter how she's built. She has to help them. She grits her teeth, glaring at the man who holds her shirt front as he holds her, teetering, over the edge, where below her the waves crash dangerously on the bottom rocks.  "Kid, you should just go swimming in the ocean—where a punk like you belongs!"

He shoves her. She gasps, trying to grasp at him, but it's too late and she's falling. And she hits the water with a splash, sinking below the surface, head pushed under by the waves, and oh god she doesn't know how to swim. Flailing, but she doesn't know which way is up, and she's running out of air and her vision is fading, blurring at the edges. Someone's supposed to help her, right? It'll be okay, because someone's coming. Someone....

But no one comes. She gives one last, desperate attempt to gasp in air, takes in water and feels her lungs filling and her vision finally darkens.

[and she sits up with a gasp. Haruhi raises a hand to her throat for a moment, staring down at her lap as she makes sure she has her breath, then turns to her Dreamberry to turn it off.

She blinks.]


What was that weird purple light...? Was that part of my dream?

[...okay, this is Tamaki's voice, but she would have thought he'd be less—calm about it.]

I'm fine, it was just a dream.

...Ara, I thought there was a flash of purple light when I looked at my Dreamberry, but maybe I was still waking up.

[...Huh. Well for one thing Kida wasn't sure why Haruhi was dressed like a boy in that dream. But for now...]

Are you okay? I didn't take you as the type that likes to charm the ladies though~

[Yeah okay, it was hard to resist. Plus it lightens the mood!]

[....oh. checks caller ID now. that... makes a little bit more sense.]

I'm fine. And yeah, I was with the Host Club as a boy before coming here. Being fussed over by a bunch of girls wasn't so bad, really.

Being fussed over? So you had a harem~?!

[JEALOUS.

Well, not anymore but ... Ahhhh.]

Haruhi!? Are you all right!? That dream—did something happen to remind you of it??

Calm down, I'm fine. I don't think anything happened. I guess it's a little strange... but then dreams are like that.

If you're sure...[still a little worried because he also felt those feelings when he watched it. he's very emphatic, you know.]

It's been a while since that happened, though, isn't it?

How are you feeling? Dreaming about water with how hot it's got, no surprise. [Wait.] Did you mention a purple light?

Mm, it's common here, and you never know when it's going to happen. Sometimes it's pretty embarrassing, but that's just the way of it.

I'm feeling all right now that I'm awake. And I thought I saw something strange flash when I looked at my Dreamberry, but it could just be that I was still half asleep... then again, with this place, I'm not totally sure.

Joshua watches silently, mostly because he doesn't know what to say. Still, the darkness from the night works as a nice cover to conceal his facial expression for the time being. Curiosity killed the cat, huh? ]

[holding up her hands. she's used to this question by that point, but she can tell Suu looks a little upset]

Are you? I'm sorry you had to feel that dream.
