♠ Dream ♠ [12]
Warnings: spoilers of the tiniest kind for events after the manga, but this should have been seen coming.
Effects: nervous excitement
Notes: backdated to the morning of May 4th
"Tamaki, get a hold of yourself."
Haruhi holds up her hands in a sort of calming gesture to the blond standing next to her as he frantically traces the character for "beauty" on his palm-- something's clearly riled him up. Those who know Tamaki and Haruhi may recognise that they seem to be a few years older, maybe in their early to mid twenties (and that Haruhi's hair is far longer than usual). Tamaki's muttering to himself as he traces the kanji on his palm over and over again.
"It's not as though he's going to shoot you or anything," Haruhi says dryly. "He's probably seen this coming for a while. Come on. The sooner you knock, the sooner we get this over with."
Little do Tamaki and Haruhi know that just on the other side of the door in front of which they're standing are four people rather than the one they're just expecting: not just Haruhi's father, but also Tamaki's parents-- even his grandmother.
"Are you sure?" Ranka Fujioka hisses, turning to look at the three Suohs behind him. "That idiot's finally going to to ask me to give him permission to marry Haruhi?" Because waiting there for the wrong reason would be somewhat embarrassing, even for Ranka. Which was saying something.
"I have no doubt, Ranka-san!" Yuzuru Suoh whispers back, sounding certain.
"Today is marked with a big red circle on the calendar in Tamaki's room..." Anne-Sophie Grantaine adds, peering over her husband's shoulder.
"That child is going to be the next head of the Suoh family," Yuzuru's mother says, looking like the only solemn one of the bunch. "We must greet him appropriately. We have a duty to uphold."
How exactly the three members of the Suoh family knew just what Tamaki was planning and when in the day he was planning it was an interesting question, but with them it was generally better not to ask for logic. Outside in the hall, Tamaki takes a deep breath and straightens his tie. "Right," he says, adopting a look of determination. "Here goes, then."
And, reaching out to take one of Haruhi's hands in his right, he raises his left hand to knock firmly on the door.

That's so romantic! He had a dream about marrying you and you had a dream about getting engaged to him! That's the most romantic thing ever!
[Pause.]
So when are you guys getting married?

[Haruhi's still blinking herself awake and has had... well, no time at all to come to terms with anything. She rolls over to pick up her Dreamberry when she hears the alert, still not quite awake, and then--
Wait a minute.
Waaaaait a minute]
EEEEEHHHHH??
[she's sitting completely upright now, Dreamberry in front of her face. GIVE THIS A MOMENT]
no subject
I'm sorry! This whole dream broadcasting thing is weird. I can leave you alone if you want!
[She gives her a moment to collect herself.]

[she can be seen taking a glance at her left hand, what is happening]

Um...my name is Touka Kishi, by the way. Nice to meet you.
[Awkward meeting, but what can you do.]
no subject
Ah... I'm Haruhi Fujioka. Nice to meet you as well.
[she feels exhausted and she's only just woken up]

[that sounds concerning]
"Matured" love? What is that supposed to mean? Or do I need to find Tamaki's dream first still...
