♠ Dream ♠ [3]
Warnings: host club shenanigans, lots of flirting and pretty boys.
Dream Effects: childish fun, and possibly some heart-quickening attraction
Except for one slightly flustered- and bad-tempered-looking redhead boy in a corner, flowers in hand, the seven members of the Host Club are ringed by dozens of squealing girls. "The Host Club is back," they whisper amongst each other between squeals. "They're finally open again!"
"Tamaki-sama, it's so wonderful to see you here again!" one bold girl finally admits, her voice high-pitched with excitement. "The whole Host Club... it's been so long!"
"Of course, my princess," Tamaki says, grasping the girls hands in his. "Do you think I could ever truly leave you? Indeed, every day I pined of our separation for our reunion, waiting for the day I could once more lose myself in your beautiful eyes."
The girl swoons.
"Hikaru, you told me the same thing once," Kaoru murmurs suddenly, looking shyly away from his twin. "Was it just a line you fed me? Something untrue that you have told to others?"
"Kaoru!" Hikaru grabs Kaoru's arm, placing a hand on the other's cheek to turn his head so that their gazes meet, eyes smoldering as they stare at each other. Kaoru bites his lower lip, pink tinging his cheeks. "Kaoru, I could never look at anyone else. You are the other half of me. I could never separate from you, not even for a moment, and if I could I would look into your eyes forever..."
A girl grabs onto her friend, close to fainting as she lets out a breathy "Kyaaaaaaaa--"
"--when I woke up, I couldn't find Usa-chan," Hunny says, his brown eyes wide and sad as he hugs said pink plush bunny closer to his body. "I looked and looked and I thought I was going to cry, but... but Takashi told me it was going to be all right and that we'd find him together. And when we walked into the kitchen--" Suddenly his eyes light up. "--there was Usa-chan, and he was surrounded by so many cakes, too!! The cook must have just made some new snacks and found Usa-chan where I'd dropped him. But Usa-chan and Takashi and all celebrated and had a biiiiiiiig reunion party-- with lots of cake, of course!"
He giggles, Mori gives a rare smile and ruffles Hunny's hair, and a girl covers her eyes with her hands. "That is just too cute!!!"
Haruhi looks up at Kyouya, who, predictably, is scribbling in his ever-present black book. "Requests are higher than ever," he murmurs, sounding incredibly pleased. "It seems as though our customers love a little tragedy, after all. I'll have to keep that in mind for future events. Make sure you don't screw anything up too badly anymore, Haruhi, because some debts aren't quite easily as payable as your last one. I'd have to say it was mostly your fault we had to close in the first place, so I'm going to let you work to repay the money we could have made during that time, all right?"
He's the Shadow King, all right, Haruhi thinks with a gulp as Kyouya smiles, his aura all the more menacing with the cheerful look.
She herself turns as her name is called. Her three most loyal customers look just as elated as the other girls as one of them asks, "Haruhi-kun, aren't you so glad that you're all together again?"
"Gladder than anything," Haruhi says with a wistful smile. "The Host Club is so important to me. They've all taught me how to laugh, how to get angry, how to cry, even how to love with all my heart... and to be able to share that with you is half the fun of knowing how."
I see what Tamaki-senpai meant when he called us a family, Haruhi thinks as the girls beside her blush, and why even though I know we can't be together forever... we can dream, and try our very hardest to remain so.
She laughs and holds out a hand. "Welcome to the Host Club. Whatever your dreams, we promise to make them come true!"

Oh... you are Miss Haruhi, are you not? I beg your pardon, I hadn't meant to intrude upon your dream, however...
Well you see, I've heard of you from Master Tamaki and simply had to inquire.
no subject
I am Haruhi, but [cautious, because she knows the kinds of things Tamaki is known to say] if you've heard of me from Tamaki-senpai I wouldn't necessarily pass your judgments on that.
no subject
[She laughs just a bit.] Well, I don't know about that. He's spoken of you with nothing but the utmost praise, and I see no reason to doubt him thus far.
no subject
I do have to ask your name, though-- I'm sorry I don't know it.
no subject
I... completely understand what you mean, awful as it may sound. It's all meant in the best intentions, of course. I'm so glad that Master Tamaki's affections for you are returned to a degree.
And oh- please forgive me. I am at fault for that. My name is Sharon Rainsworth, it's a pleasure to make your acquaintance.
no subject
Well, stupidity doesn't make him less of a good person. And no, it's not your fault! I'm happy to meet you, too.
Actually, I think Tamaki-senpai has mentioned you before. Did he... I think he said he held an event based off a holiday in your world?
no subject
You're correct. You certainly understand him, Miss Haruhi!
That is correct. Oh, how wonderful that was, to recreate Saint Bridget's day here... Had he told you the details of the event?
no subject
He told me that it'd based off a legend, and men gave feathers to the women most important to them.
no subject
Ah yes, that's correct! It's a beautiful story, Miss Haruhi. I do hope that you can experience the festival one day. Perhaps in some time we can recreate it again...
no subject
I'd love to learn more about it and take part in the festival myself. I'm sure we will!
no subject
It's... well. Certainly even the most complicated of people need someone to understand them, no? And Master Tamaki truly seems to adore you. That you may reciprocate it even the slightest is something that I find very wonderful.
[giggles] I'd be more than happy to indulge you with information at any time. I was unable to participate in the actual festival in my home world, so having the chance to recreate it here... it truly makes me very happy.
no subject
[and speaking of her respect for him, here's a reason for it]
Tamaki-senpai's very reason for starting the Host Club was to make other people happy. I'm very glad he was able to make you so. I look forward to being able to celebrate with you next time!

[a moment's solemnity for serious memories that happened back in Tokyo, but it's soon time to rag on Tamaki again.]
He calls Kyouya-senpai "Mommy" and himself "Daddy".
no subject
Would that you make you his... 'son'?
no subject
Ah... he does quite like to think of himself as my father, yeah.
no subject
Then the others are your dear siblings?
no subject
[and oh, how Nekozawa is a master at messing with people. particularly Tamaki.]I think Kaoru and Hikaru are, but Mori-senpai and Hunny-senpai are our cousins, or something. I'm not sure quite what goes through Tamaki-senpai's mind.

[she sounds as though she's insulting him, but really she's just upset he'd think the host club would ditch him so easily (in regards to his latest dream).]

Wow, I didn't never thought that was how the Host Club was really handled.

But you were all guys back there, huh?
no subject
I'm... actually a girl. I was careless and was forced to join the Host Club as a male host to pay back a debt, but now I stay because I really do have fun.
no subject
I should probably introduce myself, huh? Rise Kujikawa. Nice to meet you again!
